In 2015, the former employee of the Weinstein firm detailed a memo that addressed the many cases of sexual harassment shared with her from female actresses following “exclusive” meetings. She noted that the company was “a toxic environment for women.” Ms. O’Connors memo was particularly impactful. As a well respected employee sharing detailed pages of other womens’ experiences as well as her own, the action caught the attention of high level executives. Within that same year, Weinstein later arrived at a settlement for O’Connor.
